Même si le chiffre aurait pu être encore plus élevé d’après les dernières rumeurs, les transferts effectués par les clubs de Ligue 2 ont été très nombreux cet hiver, au cours d’un mois de janvier agité qui a permis à certains clubs de réajuster leur effectif pour envisager la suite de la saison avec optimisme. Parmi ces clubs, Valenciennes a beaucoup dégraissé avec les départs de sept joueurs dont la majorité à été officialisée dans les derniers jours. À l’inverse, le relégable Dunkerque a recruté huit éléments qui auront leur mot à dire sur la phase retour. Enfin, des équipes ont bouclé des transferts majeurs (Bahoya quittant Angers, Pagis à Laval, Salama à Caen…) mais n’ont pas multiplié les opérations entrantes et sortantes.
